My Journey with God

As my husband and I have taken a short vacation since I have been requested, whoops maybe ordered, to stay off of my leg for a month we decided to go visit relatives in Southern Illinois. Of course this would mean trusting our grandson (19) to watch over his younger brother(15), that was quite a stretch for me to have trust in that situation so I asked God for Him to protect and be there! It brought me what I have been studying on how to experience God into my life. Well it is not just one easy step it is many. The first thing I needed to learn was I needed a relationship with Jesus, if I haven't done that I needed to:
     * confess  my sins
     * repent from my sinful life
     * ask Jesus to save me by His grace
     * and turn over the rule of my life to Jesus

I had already done that so I am thinking this would not  be a difficult journey, wrong there is much more to experiencing God and knowing and doing his will.

I learned that I am not my only teacher but the Holy Spirit would be my personal teacher. How awesome is that I thought, well that should be easy. Right it requires more then just to say that: it involves reading Gods word, meditation of those words, an open and willing mind and heart to hear what God's plans and purposes are for our life. This maybe something you have never thought of or could be something God has been trying to accomplish in you or through you. Oh what an awesome journey I have been on. Jesus is my map.

Lord as you guide and tell me what to do a step at a time, I will go with you Lord!

Hope you were blessed by this and that you come back to join me as I continue to blog; our journey has just begun and I would like to take you with me as God leads.
